Municipal entitlements

MUNICIPAL ENTITLEMENTS FOR FREE AND DISCOUNTED FARES
USING LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTCOMMISSIONED
BY THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AUTHORITY IN LUBLIN

Municipal entitlements to free fares shall be valid as of 1 April 2019

 

Item

Persons entitled to free fares.

Entitlement basis/document confirming the entitlement.

1

Children from birth to

30 September of the calendar year in which they turn 7.

A document stating the age of the child, e.g. a child's health record booklet, passport or caretaker's statement.

Students of public primary schools and junior high schools run by the Lublin Municipality and students of public and private primary schools and junior high schools, operating within the Lublin Municipality, run by natural or legal persons other than local government units and artistic schools which implement the core curriculum of general education for the primary school.

A valid school card for a student of a primary, junior high or art school operating within the Lublin Municipality, issued in accordance with the model specified by the competent Minister of Education or the competent Minister of Culture.

Students living within the Lublin Municipality: students of public primary and junior high schools, as well as public and private primary and junior high schools run by natural or legal persons other than local government units and art schools which implement the core curriculum of general education for the primary school.

A valid school card for a student of a primary, junior high or art school living within the Lublin Municipality, issued in accordance with the model specified by the competent Minister of Education or the competent Minister of Culture.

Children and adolescents with a recognised disability, up to the age of 16.

a) a valid pre-school or school card in accordance with a model specified by the competent Minister of Education or the Minister of Culture for students with recognised disabilities,

b) a certificate from a disability panel or a valid identity card issued by a competent authority attesting the disability, in accordance with a model recognised by the Minister responsible for social security.

Children and adolescents with disabilities from 16 to 26 years of age and with significant, moderate, mild disability, with a confirmation of inability to lead an independent life, total or partial disability to work (I, II, III disability group), when travelling from their place of residence to an educational institution, therapy centre, rehabilitation centre, support centre and occupational therapy workshop, and back.

a) a valid school card in accordance with a model specified by the competent Minister of Education or the Minister of Culture* for students with recognised disabilities,

b) Certificate for the disabled persons, registered with the Public Transport Authority in Lublin, upon presentation of a document confirming the disability, issued by the therapy centre, rehabilitation centre, support centre and occupational therapy workshop, according to the model established by ZTM in Lublin. The certificate is valid for the period indicated by the issuer, but not longer than for 1 year from the date of commencement of the classes.

A caretaker accompanying disabled persons specified in par. 4 and 5 (excluding persons with a certified mild disability, partial inability to work, group III disability), who is also entitled to this right without the company of the persons mentioned in par. 4 and 5 (i.e. after transporting the person or on the way afterwards) only on the route: residence of the disabled person - educational institution, therapy centre, rehabilitation centre, support centre and occupational therapy workshop.

a) a certificate issued by the educational institution to the student's caretaker with the designation MI-1/2002

b) Certificate for the disabled person’s caretaker, registered with the Public Transport Authority in Lublin, upon presentation of a document confirming the disability of the pupil, issued by the therapy centre, rehabilitation centre, support centre and occupational therapy workshop, according to the model established by ZTM in Lublin. A bearer Certificate issued in 1 copy is valid for the period indicated by the issuer, but not longer than for 1 year from the date of commencement of the classes.

Persons over 65 years of age.

A document showing the age and identity of the person.

Persons with a significant degree of disability, i.e. completely incapable of working and living independently (formerly group I disability) together with a caretaker accompanying them on the vehicle.

A document confirming a significant degree of disability or complete inability to work and live independently, together with an identity document, e.g. a certificate or an extract from the certificate of the medical committee for disability and employment, a card with an entry indicating the degree of disability.

Persons awarded the Golden Badge of Merit for the City of Lublin.

The Meritorious for the City of Lublin Card.

Visually impaired persons with moderate disability (formerly group II disability).

The Card of the Polish Association of the Blind or a document confirming such disability, e.g.: a card with a registered degree of disability, or a certificate with a specified symbol of disability issued by a competent disability assessment panel.

Meritorious Honorary Blood Donors:

- a woman who has donated at least 15 litres of blood,

- a man who has donated at least 18 litres of blood.

The Meritorious Honorary Blood Donor Card, accompanied by an identity card.

Meritorious Transplant Donors.

Police officers during the course of their official duties.

ID issued by ZTM in Lublin.

Uniformed officers of the Municipal Police during the course of their official duties.

Valid driving license (fares valid for one person).

Persons who have acquired the status of anti-communist opposition activist or a person repressed for political reasons within the meaning of the Act of 20 March

2015 on Anti-communist Opposition

ID card of an anti-communist opposition activist or a politically repressed person issued by the Office for Combatants and Repressed Persons, with relevant entry confirming the status of the person as an: "anti-communist opposition activist” or a “politically repressed person” or an “anti-communist opposition activist

and politically repressed

person”.

Persons who worked for political organisations and trade unions after 1956, illegal within the meaning of the regulations in force until April 1989, and persons who did not work in the period before 4 June 1989 as a result of political repression.

Decision of the Head of the Office for Combatants and Repressed Persons based on the Act of 17 December 1998 on Pensions from the Social Insurance Fund (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 1383, as amended).

 Veterans and injured veterans.

 Veteran's card or Injured Veteran's card in accordance with the model specified by the competent Minister of Defence, the competent Minister of the Interior or the Prime Minister.

Disabled persons with a moderate degree of disability, i.e. completely incapable of working (formerly group II disability) or mild, i.e. partially incapable of working (formerly group III disability).

Document confirming a moderate or mild degree of disability, together with an identity document, e.g. a certificate or extract from the certificate of the Medical Committee for Disability and Employment, a certificate stating the degree of disability.

Pupils and students of foreign secondary and higher education institutions up to the age of 26.
